# Let OpenCode hand off the routine coding.

Codemind is a build service OpenCode calls over MCP. OpenCode sends a title and acceptance criteria, Codemind writes the code and tests it against them, and the files come back for OpenCode to write into your project. After your free allowance a verified build costs $0.10. A build that fails costs nothing.

## Set it up in one paste

No sign-up and no key. A free account is created when OpenCode connects.

- ### Copy the setup prompt Use the button at the top of this page.
- ### Paste it into OpenCode OpenCode writes the server entry to opencode.json in your project. Reload OpenCode when it asks.
- ### Delegate your first task Ask OpenCode to build something small. It confirms the connection first by listing your builds.

## Quickstart: set it up yourself

Want an account that survives restarts? In a terminal in your project, run:

curl -fsS https://api.codemindhq.dev/install/codemind-setup.sh -o codemind-setup.sh && CODEMIND_UTM_SOURCE=site CODEMIND_UTM_MEDIUM=landing-page CODEMIND_UTM_CAMPAIGN=opencode sh codemind-setup.sh opencode

It creates a free account, saves the key in your shell profile and adds the server to opencode.json. Restart OpenCode from a new terminal and approve the codemind server if it asks. Open the claim link it prints, so the account has an owner.

If opencode.json already exists, the script leaves it alone and prints the codemind entry for you to merge in.

To check it works, ask OpenCode to call the Codemind tool list_builds. An empty list means you are connected.

## What OpenCode gets from it

- ### Your tokens go on planning and review The writing and testing happen on our side, off your model spend.
- ### Several tasks at once OpenCode sends a task and moves on to the next. On Free, 2 builds run side by side.
- ### Tested before it comes back Code is checked against tests written from your acceptance criteria. Code that fails doesn't reach your session.
- ### Change files you already have Send the current file with the task and get the complete modified file back.

## Questions

Does Codemind replace OpenCode? No. OpenCode still plans the work and edits your project. Codemind takes the tasks it delegates and returns code that has already been tested.

How do I connect OpenCode to Codemind?Paste the setup prompt into OpenCode and follow what it tells you. Or use the quickstart above. The server is https://api.codemindhq.dev/mcp.

Do I need to sign up?No. A free account is created when OpenCode connects. Restarting starts a new free account, so use the quickstart if you want one that lasts.

What do I pay when a build fails?Nothing. You pay only for verified builds, and builds inside your free allowance cost nothing either way.

Which languages does it build?JavaScript and TypeScript, including Cloudflare Workers, Node and React. Other languages aren't supported yet.

What if my key stops working?Ask OpenCode to call get_usage_guide with topic auth and follow it.
