# Let Cursor's agent hand off the routine coding.

Codemind is a build service Cursor's agent calls over MCP. It sends a title and acceptance criteria, Codemind writes the code and tests it against them, and the files come back for the agent to write into your project. After your free allowance a verified build costs $0.10. A build that fails costs nothing.

## Set it up in one paste

No sign-up and no key. A free account is created when Cursor connects.

- ### Copy the setup prompt Use the button at the top of this page.
- ### Paste it into Cursor's agent The agent writes the project's MCP config and enables the server. Reload Cursor when it asks.
- ### Delegate your first task Ask the agent to build something small. It confirms the connection first by listing your builds.

## Quickstart: set it up yourself

Want an account that survives restarts? In a terminal in your project, run:

curl -fsS https://api.codemindhq.dev/install/codemind-setup.sh -o codemind-setup.sh && CODEMIND_UTM_SOURCE=site CODEMIND_UTM_MEDIUM=landing-page CODEMIND_UTM_CAMPAIGN=cursor sh codemind-setup.sh cursor

It creates a free account, saves the key in your shell profile and adds the server to .cursor/mcp.json. Then open a new terminal, run cursor agent mcp enable codemind, and restart Cursor from that terminal. Open the claim link it prints, so the account has an owner.

We tested Cursor through its agent CLI, which is the path above. We haven't verified the editor's own MCP settings screen.

To check it works, ask the agent to call the Codemind tool list_builds. An empty list means you are connected.

## What Cursor gets from it

- ### Your requests go on planning and review The writing and testing happen on our side, off your Cursor plan.
- ### Several tasks at once The agent sends a task and moves on to the next. On Free, 2 builds run side by side.
- ### Tested before it comes back Code is checked against tests written from your acceptance criteria. Code that fails doesn't reach your project.
- ### Change files you already have Send the current file with the task and get the complete modified file back.

## Questions

Does Codemind replace Cursor? No. Cursor still plans the work and edits your project. Codemind takes the tasks the agent delegates and returns code that has already been tested.

How do I connect Cursor to Codemind?Paste the setup prompt into Cursor's agent and follow what it tells you. Or use the quickstart above. The server is https://api.codemindhq.dev/mcp.

Do I need to sign up?No. A free account is created when Cursor connects. Restarting starts a new free account, so use the quickstart if you want one that lasts.

What do I pay when a build fails?Nothing. You pay only for verified builds, and builds inside your free allowance cost nothing either way.

Which languages does it build?JavaScript and TypeScript, including Cloudflare Workers, Node and React. Other languages aren't supported yet.

What if my key stops working?Ask the agent to call get_usage_guide with topic auth and follow it.
